Day 12: They See Me Rollin

We woke early to get a good start on a long day. About 6 miles of flatwater to Cadyville/Kent Falls and from there we decided to walk to Plattsburgh. 1) we didn’t want to take the risk in some of the whitewater (though probably mellow) and 2) with water being low in sections, we felt we could walk faster on the road.

We stopped for drinks and ice cream along the way and kept going. 11 miles of walking. The last few miles were the worst. Luckily, my rolling blue barrel was a life saver.

We ate at the Naked Turtle near the put in on Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh and paddled across the bay to Cumberland State Park to camp.
